2009 1/2 Iacocca Edition Mustang
06-22-09: Lee Iacocca has gotten together with Galpin Ford to create a modern day legacy of his passion for Mustang, the Iacocca Anniversary Edition. Only 45 of the “2009 ½” Silver Edition Mustangs will be built and offered through Galpin Ford in North Hills, Ca. The design of the special car was a collaboration between Lee Iacocca, designer Michael Leone, and Gaffolglio Family Metalcrafters. The company calls itself "I Legacy". Their customized Mustang features redesigned front fascia side skirts and designer touches throughout. Making this car special is the metal work and hand crafted customization that goes well beyond the “body kit” of many tuner-cars. Full Story.

Milan Race Wrap
Written by: Jason Reiss With a short break between last month’s NMRA Nationals in Atco, New Jersey, and this weekend’s race at Milan Dragway in Michigan, the racers were still set on kill, and a fantastic weekend of racing ensued. In the Turbonetics Pro Outlaw 10.5 class, local Michigan racer Jim “Gumby” Monson made it all the way to the finals on his side of the ladder after beating Keith Neal when Neal got loose around halftrack. Conrad Scarry lost to AJ Powell after timing out on the starting line, and Monson beat Powell in a close race. Mike Murillo, on the other side of the ladder, won over Dan Millen when Millen couldn’t get the gearbox to engage in reverse. In the final round, Murillo’s 6.82 at over 220mph was just too much for Monson to overcome. Don Burton is having another great season in ProCharger Super Street Outlaw. After winning in Florida, he ran through his side of the field today, making it into the final after Chris Tuten had a heartbreaking -.004 redlight in the semifinal round. John Urist had a competition bye before meeting up with John Macdonald in the semis – an incredibly close race decided by hundredths at the stripe. The final was a blower vs. nitrous battle – a repeat of the Bradenton event where Burton came out on top. This time, it would be Urist on top as your event winner when Burton got loose right off the hit and had to abort. Full Story.
